Skylight Hosts Clothing Drive to Benefit Communities Across Ohio
Earlier this month, the Skylight offices hosted a clothing drive that took place all over the state of Ohio. Due to dedicated efforts from Skylight staff, financial planners, and volunteers alike, the foundation pulled together thousands of clothing items to benefit several local organizations.
“The current pandemic took a serious toll on a number of programs that rely on donations for the less fortunate,” said Marketing & Event Coordinator Makenzie Lee. “So for us, having the chance to come together and give back to our community was something that was beyond rewarding.”
In total, the program led to 100 bags of donated men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing—plus an additional 900 individual clothing items! “It is truly amazing to see the impact that can be made when we all come together” said Makenzie.
A huge thank you to the wonderful individuals at St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati, Cherry Street Mission Ministries, The City Mission, and the Welcome Warehouse for making this possible!
