Different Needz Foundation Hosts Annual Golf Outing

The Skylight Foundation is supporting the Different Needz Foundation’s 6th Annual Luke Jordan Memorial Golf Outing at Chagrin Valley County Club on Friday September 12.  A day of golf will be followed by the Foundation’s Dinner and Silent Auction.

The Different Needz Foundation, which was founded in 2009, helps individuals with developmental disabilities obtain the necessary equipment and medical services they need to have the best quality of life. In less than 5 years, over 125 grants have been awarded to include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical equipment and adaptive toys.  The life of Luke Jordan was the inspiration behind Different Needz.  Luke, a young boy born with developmental disabilities which caused many physical disabilities and medical conditions, had an impeccable ability to inspire those around him and teach compassion, patience and the true definition of finding strength from within.

Brian Marino, who has been a large supporter of the Foundation from its inception said “I am passionate about being able to help local special needs families who are in need and really enjoy being part of the Different Needz Foundation. This event is not only a great day of golf, food, drink and entertainment but raises vital funds for the Foundation and is its main source of funding.  The proceeds will help this wonderful organization continue to grow and support more and more special needs families each year.”
